Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 scoop vanilla ice cream (or your favorite flavor)
  • Chocolate sauce for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy. Add the egg and mix well.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually combine dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just mixed.
  4. Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, drop rounded dough onto the prepared baking sheet about two inches apart.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft. Cool on the baking sheet for several minutes before transferring to wire racks.
  6. Once cooled slightly, top each cookie with a scoop of ice cream and drizzle chocolate sauce over it.
